Runmageddon Warszawa is staged at Twierdza Modlin, the 19th-century fortress at the confluence of the Vistula and Narew north-west of the capital. Runners cross earthworks, dry moats, brick casemates and tunnels, with the river banks supplying the mud and water crossings. The fortress architecture gives the course a lot of vertical for a lowland race: ramparts get climbed repeatedly rather than once.
Saturday runs Kids (1 km), Intro and Intro U-16 (3 km, 15 obstacles) and Rekrut (6 km, 30 obstacles). Sunday adds Family (2 km) and the classic Runmageddon at 12 km with 50 obstacles. Modlin is around 40 km from central Warsaw with its own airport next door, so this is the most accessible Runmageddon for international entrants.
