Frappadingue Lunéville is the season opener and the fourth edition in the Lorraine town, staged from the Champ de Mars beside the Château de Lunéville, the 18th-century palace nicknamed the "Versailles lorrain". Both courses start and finish in the same place, so spectators can stay in the finish village all morning.
Two formats run on the Sunday: Format S over 5–6 km with 15 obstacles (from €43) and Format L over 10–12 km with 40 obstacles (from €53), both 16 and over. Bib collection opens at 8:30 under the marquees on avenue de Lattre de Tassigny, the first wave goes at 9:30 and waves leave every 15 minutes until 12:15. Allow two to three hours on course. The Frappajeune kids race (6–15 years, €10, sign up on the day) runs the Saturday before at 10:00.
