XLETIX Challenge München Erding is held in the Kronthaler Weiher recreation area just outside Erding, north-east of Munich in Bavaria's brewing heartland. The route follows quiet field tracks, climbs over gravel banks and drops straight into a turquoise, crystal-clear lake, which makes it one of the more varied and scenic courses in the series. Super Swing, Barbwire Battle and Juicy Jumper feature on the obstacle list.
Three distances are on offer: FUN over 6 km with 15 obstacles, ADVENTURE over 12 km with 25 obstacles and X-TREME over 18 km with 35 obstacles. Munich is an easy base, with the venue about 40 minutes from the city and close to Munich Airport.
