True Grit in Lower Portland, NSW, Australia. 3 events on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
True Grit Sydney runs at Lower Portland on the Hawkesbury River, an hour and a half north-west of the city and the closest thing the series has to a home ground. The riverflat terrain means water crossings and deep mud alongside the standard obstacle set: A Frame, A Very Long Carry, Traverse Ropes, Monkey Bars, The Wall, Rope Up, Pontoon Bridges, The Ramp, Tyre Wall, Inclination and The Big Climb.
Sydney gets the longest course lineup on the calendar: 5 km (12+), 10 km (16+) and a 15 km (16+) that no other venue runs. The 15 km wave goes out at 8:40am, 10 km waves from 9:10am, and 5 km waves run intermittently through the day.
It is a single-day event. Parking is $10 per vehicle, and spectators are free but must register in advance.
The organizer has not published start times yet. Waves fill up.
