Toughest Stockholm is held at Lida Friluftsgård, a large recreational area south of the city in Botkyrka, and it is the most balanced course in the series. The 8 km main race uses the site's existing trail network: forest singletrack, rolling hills and a lake, with none of the extremes of Sälen's mountain or Malmö's flat beach. If you want a fair read on your OCR fitness, this is the course to run.
The main race and the Double Distance add-on (two laps, roughly 16 km) go on the Saturday, with Xplore (4 km, untimed, no penalty rounds) and Family (2 km) on the Sunday.
Lida is about 30 km from central Stockholm — reachable by commuter train to Tullinge plus a bus, though a car is easier. Stockholm typically sells out early, so register well ahead.
