The Vermont Spartan Event Weekend returns to Killington Ski Resort in the Green Mountains, the venue where Spartan Race began. The course runs on the resort's ski trails and access roads, so the defining feature is sustained vertical: long climbs to the summit and steep, technical descents rather than flat running.
The weekend of 18-19 September 2027 covers the Ultra (50 km) and Beast (21 km) on the Saturday and the Sprint (5 km) on the Sunday, with Elite, Age Group, Doubles and Open waves on each. Kids Races at 1 km, 1.5 km and 3 km run both days.
