Horten is the original Navy Race, run at Karljohansvern, the old naval base on the Oslofjord, on 7 and 8 August 2027. The course is 8 km with 30 obstacles across the base: climbing walls, sand crawls, water wading and, in past editions, a jump from the frigate KNM Narvik. The Sunday also hosts Navy Race Kids (Mini 4 to 7, Junior 8 to 13) and the 4 km Family course.
Every race starts with a pre-race bootcamp and a "never leave a man behind" crew makes sure everyone finishes. Horten is about an hour and a half south of Oslo by car or train plus bus. Registration is through Racetracker.
